Synopsis

Birahima, a young Guinean orphan of about ten, must leave his village and try to cross the border to find an aunt who is said to have settled in Liberia. The boy follows in the footsteps of Yacouba, a roadside hustler who plays the role of a makeshift guide. But along the way, an encounter with child soldiers turns Birahima’s fate upside down. Recruited against his will, what awaits him on the path of war?
