Directed by Jonathan Bensimhon

Synopsis

In the early 2000s, a lightning-fast striker with a powerful shot stormed the French football scene: Djibril Cissé. But soon, the Cissé phenomenon began to spread far beyond the football pitch.

Through his eccentricities, love for the spectacular, and sense of fashion, Djibril would redefine the place of a footballer in popular culture. He would leave an indelible mark on future generations of athletes, even before the advent of social media.

Above all, he would win the hearts of fans in France, England, and Greece with his immense passion for football and his genuine, likable personality. The sense of sacrifice and humility instilled by his family shaped a steely resolve, one that would allow him to recover from the most severe injuries. These qualities made him: “Djibril Cissé, the Unbreakable.”
